Top to bottom: the blue hour on the Cape (after the sun has set, before it is fully dark), St. Christopher’s in Chatham, the poetry section at Yellow Umbrella Books in Chatham, sunset at Gray’s beach, Yarmouth.

Tomorrow we leave for Pennsylvania.

The past few weeks have been challenging in a lot of ways, but we’ve also been very fortunate. My eyes are healing, my work has been understanding about time off, and I was able to recover with friends and family (most of whom told me, you are not ready, as I would frantically pace around trying to understand how long all of this would take). I am nervous about going back, but I am ready.

As hard as it is for us to leave Massachusetts (which is always home for us), we are excited to return to Pennsylvania, which is also home. It’s complicated but happy, sad but hopeful.
