Maryland getaway!

Last Thursday, Tim started planning a weekend in Maryland. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary and soak up some summer. We left early Saturday morning to start our adventure.

We started the weekend with lunch in Annapolis. We had crab cakes at Wild Country Seafood. There was even a purple house for sale next door!

We rented kayaks at Quiet Waters Park. We had a blast and started scheming about getting our own set someday.

We continued our nautical afternoon with a sail on the Woodwind schooner. It was beautiful, and a lot of fun. Below are some of our favorite photos:

Tim planned a wonderful dinner overlooking the water:

This morning, we toured the Naval Academy. Below, Tim and the mascot, the midshipmen file into chapel, and the Captains’ homes:

On our way home, we stopped in Baltimore for a three hour food tour. It was great and reminded us of the Seattle food tour from our honeymoon. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned quite a bit about Fell’s Point.

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and exactly what we needed to break up our usual routine and celebrate three years together. Tim did a great job planning and I enjoyed every minute! I can’t wait to go back!
